KEYNOTE SPEAKER
VICKI NOBLE
For three decades Vicki Noble has involved herself in women's health and shamanistic healing practices, expressing this calling through research, private practice, teaching, and the ongoing development of original hands-on healing practices. She teaches female shamanism, tantric practice, and astrology through the Women's Spirituality graduate degree programs at the California Instititute of Integral Studies (CIIS) and New College (both in San Francisco), and has a private practice in the mountains near Santa Cruz in northern California.
She co-created the Motherpeace Tarot deck with Karen Vogel and wrote three books to accompany the deck — Motherpeace: A Way to the Goddess; the Motherpeace Tarot Playbook with Jonathan Tenney; and Making Ritual with Motherpeace Cards — as well as later books, Shakti Woman: Feeling Our Fire, Healing Our World (The New Female Shamanism) and a tribute to her son with Down Syndrome, Down Is Up For Aaron Eagle. Her latest book, The Double Goddess: Women Sharing Power (to be released from Inner Traditions in 2002) contains her original research on the Amazon Priestess lineage that culminates in Tibetan Buddhist "dakini" practices being disseminated in America today.
