Women and Religion Sundays
"Honoring Our Grandmothers"

If you would like the Women and Religion Committee to present a Sunday service in your church,
please contact W&R Roadshow Goddess Gretchen Ohmann!

Here's an example of what we do:
The weekend of March 24 and 25, 2001, several members of the Women and Religion Committee traveled from their various homes to Macomb, Illinois to present a Sunday service for the UU Fellowship of Macomb.

The theme of the service was our grandmothers and other women mentors in our lives. Readings of original poetry and prose were included, along with several songs written by or about women. The committee members performed some of the music, and accompanied the congregation in singing other hymns. Members of the UU Fellowship of Macomb joined the committee for the readings, and prepared additional music by women composers. People responded to some of the readings by speaking of their own memories of their grandmothers.

W&R women who were able to attend: Gretchen, Carol, Sally, Elly and Gayla.
Thank you, UU Fellowship of Macomb for your warm and friendly welcome!
